December 7, 1941 certainly is a date that will live in infamy. The most horrendous attack on American soil, and the entry of the United States into the Second World War. Of course, 60 years later, this generation has another date that will now live in infamy as September 11, 2001 marked another horrendous attack on American soil; also leading the United States into another war.
Let it not be said that when Jerry Bruckheimer does a movie, he skimps on the bill, especially when you hire a director like Mr. Armageddon himself, Michael Bay. It’s been said that the total cost of production for the film (including the almost ridiculously expensive after party and premiere) is either equal to or more likely exceeding the total estimated damage of the actual attack itself. To be fair though, most of the people involved chose to defer their own salaries so that the money could be spent on the actual production itself; only receiving a cut of the profit after the release of the film. Lucky them. The movie has grossed to date (worldwide) over 4oo hundred million dollars.
As an actress, it must be difficult working on a film set where 99% of the other actors and most of the crew are male. The cat calls, the sinister leers from the Kraft services guy who always hand delivers your bagel right to your trailer, whether you want him to or not. The unexpected peek-a-booty show as your skirt gets lifted a tad too high by a bold and unchilvarous gust of wind. Yes, Kate Beckinsale and Catherine Keller learned their lesson, when during a particular scene in which the costume designer had suggested they go sans under-roos due to unsightly lines, a sharp wind lifted their skirts and showed the entire crew their goodies.
