Quentin Tarantino and Robert Rodriguez are nothing if not two directors with clear visions on the kinds of movies they love and the kinds of movies they want to make.
Both of these fellows are big fans of the exploitation movies of the 60's and 70's, which were shown in mostly last run cinemas or 'Grindhouses' (so named because of the way they seemed to 'grind' out movie after movie).

(Death Proof's Zoe) kick ass moves. She was Uma Thurman's stunt double in 'Kill Bill'.

The role of Stuntman Mike marks Kurt Russell's return to the dark and twisted universe he inhabited in films such as The Thing and Escape from New York.
