Perhaps its ego or perhaps it’s simply a way of fighting unabashed Hollywood cynicism, but when Catherine Zeta-Jones was offered the role, the director had wanted her to wear her natural long hair. Catherine nixed that idea in favour of the short bob stating later that she didn’t want the public to doubt that she did all her own dancing if her hair was constantly getting in her face.
