Insert movie posters were printed on card stock paper from 1910 to the late 1980s. These posters would be placed in smaller designed lobby displays. Since most theaters only had one film showing at a time, the theater lobby would be covered in all sorts of promotional material, (ie half sheets, inserts, lobby cards etc). Inserts can either be folded or rolled, they are quite popular with collectors for the ease of framing due to their size.
